Frequently Asked Questions

Herb safety varies significantly by species, weight, age, and health status. What's safe for a dog may be harmful to a cat, and vice versa. My veterinary background means species-specific safety is always the starting point for any companion animal formula. I also ask about any current medications to screen for potential interactions. I always recommend keeping your regular veterinarian informed of any herbal support your pet is receiving.

Currently, all consultations are conducted online — intake forms completed digitally, and consultations held by phone. Formulas are shipped directly to you. My physical storefront is anticipated to open in 2027; you can join the waitlist to be notified when it does.

Yes. Each person or animal receives their own individualized formula. I offer multi-pet and family consultation options to help streamline the process for households with multiple needs. As a thank-you for bundling, I take 10% off the consultation fee for each additional member after the first. Feel free to contact me to discuss what that might look like for your situation.

After your phone consultation, it typically takes me 1–3 business days to create your formula. If I do not have the required herb(s) in stock, I will need to order them — which will likely add another 3–5 business days. I will keep you updated with estimated times, and will provide a tracking number once your formula has shipped.

You can request a refill through the Booking page under "Request a Refill." You'll be asked whether anything has changed since your last order. If there are significant changes in your health, medications, or goals, a brief follow-up call may be recommended before your formula is prepared.

Medications, other supplements, pregnancy/nursing, and some health conditions can be contraindications with certain herbs, due to their interactions with the medications or body. This is why I do not charge for the appointment until after I've reviewed your intake form and made sure that there are appropriate herbs that I can use. Please always disclose all medications, supplements, and health conditions during your intake.

While I take care to screen for known interactions, herbal support is not a replacement for medical supervision. I always recommend discussing any new herbal additions with your prescribing physician or veterinarian.
